Steve and I joined up again this week-end for a great day out with Dave Hutton, at Prees Heath, for the White-Faced Darter, another life tick for me!! had much more bearable weather this week-end but the guy's were being eaten alive by Horse Fly's which did not seem to be interested in me, wonder why????
They say only mad dog's and English men go out in the midday sun well you can count me in too, as Steve and I joined Dave Hutton on a trip to a site he knows in Shropshire for the Golden-Ringed Dragonfly. Keeled Skimmer (Male)
Have quite a few week-end trips to catch up on, should not use work as an excuse for not keeping up with my blog but only so many hours in a day, roll on school holiday's. First trip was to Cannock Chase has been over a year since my last trip and then it was for the same butterfly. Small Pearl-Bordered Fritillary

Sorry for the delay in getting these photo's of a stunning Swallowtail Butterfly onto my site, it gave myself and OH some 30 minutes plus of pleasure on our recent two day break to Norfolk, last week-end but with working full time for a few weeks it has taken me some time to troll through all my shots as this is the first sighting for me, these were taken in the car park at Horsey, were we only found two on our second day, having spent the most of day one at Strumpshaw Fen Nature Reserve with not even a fleeting glance. More images can be found on my Zenfolio Web Site, if you do visit my site please remember to leave your comments, they are much appreciated.
